Who takes donations?

Our boy’s soccer team is having a rummage sale to raise funds for their post season tournaments. We are having it in front of a local middle school.

Here’s our dilemma.

What will we do with the leftover stuff after the rummage sale ends. I called the Salvation Army and they don’t do pickups on Saturdays. What a bummer!

So what we will have to do is drop off a bunch of stuff at our nearest Goodwill, which is only 6 miles away and is open until 8pm on Saturdays. Not the best solution (especially since we’re working the closing shift) but it works. I keep hoping we just sell most of the things where we’ll have a small load to drive over.

I found a really informative website that promotes volunteerism and offers a lot of different ideas for different global causes. I LOVE this stuff, check it out and see if you can find anything that would help make a difference.
