Can’t Judge a Book by its Cover

What a riot I had last night!!
Did you know that not all dogs can swim? (Yeah, it amazed me too!)
I thought all us dogs are born knowing how to swim. I’ve never heard of swim classes for dogs or anything and I always see dogs swimming out at the lake, on the river or in a pool.
Well, last night I was hanging out with some friends, having a BBQ and dipping in the pool to stay cool.
One dog had a life vest on!!! I was thinking, “You’ve got to be kidding.”
It was no joke, this dog would have sunk to the bottom of the pool if he didn’t have this bright orange life vest on.
He was a good looking bulldog, kinda looked intimidating with his heavy, stocky frame. He was on the quirky side, always standing on the ledge ready to stake his territory. But by the end of the day and with my charismatic personality, I got to know him better and he really was a nice guy. He was friendly and was so ready to shake paws. It just goes to show you that you can’t judge a book by its cover, AND not all dogs can swim. But don’t laugh because even those non swimming dogs can be fun friends to hang with. By the way, if you would be interested in a life jacket vest for your pet, you can find a wide selection at www.hunterk9.com .

Wow - I had no idea that all dogs can’t swim! I know some dogs enjoy the water more than others, but I thought it was a natural instinct for dogs to go into a dog paddle if they were submerged in water. Good to know!
